A Time for Children

Sundays during our 10:00 a.m. worship service, children are invited to worship, then after the 2nd reading, children are invited to ministry time, before returning to worship for Communion with their family.   Each Sunday has a Bible story based on the day’s readings, Hands-on response through Craft, Music, or Game, and Prayer.

Advent, 2017

christmas-tree-decoration-ornaments-typesAs we prepare for the joyous Christmas Season, we remember those less fortunate.  Our annual toy drive supports the Community Family Life Services program in Washington, DC with new toys for their store for families in need.  Parents "shop" for their children bringing joy to both the child and the parent.

Bethlehem Lutheran Church also supports Gifts of Hope, an Alternative Gift program.  Choose a gift for someone in need, and receive a gift card to share with a family member or friend.

Hypothermia Shelter at BLC

Bethlehem Lutheran Church will serve as a hypothermia shelter.  Meals, a warm place to sleep, activities and services will be provided to homeless adults.  Many volunteers join together to support our community.  Please consider hosting a meal, serving as an overnight chaperone, or helping in one of many different ways for this critical ministry.
