Hypothermia Shelter at BLC

Bethlehem Lutheran Church will serve as a hypothermia shelter.  Meals, a warm place to sleep, activities and services will be provided to homeless adults.  Many volunteers join together to support our community.  Please consider hosting a meal, serving as an overnight chaperone, or helping in one of many different ways for this critical ministry.

Advent, 2017

As we prepared for the joyous Christmas Season, we remembered those less fortunate. Our annual toyChristmas Tree2 drive supported the Community Family Life Services program in Washington, DC with new toys for their store for families in need. Parents "shop" for their children bringing joy to both the child and the parent.

Bethlehem Lutheran Church also supports Gifts of Hope, an Alternative Gift program. Choose a gift for someone in need, and receive a gift card to share with a family member or friend

August 8, 2017 - Back to School Backpacks for children in need in our community

IMG 1602

Bethlehem provides backpacks full of supplies, ready to send a child back to school.  Thank you to everyone who funded the backpacks, did the shopping, and prepped the backpacks.   FACETS will distribute to the full backpacks to children in need in our community.

Bethlehem also works with FACETS each month, providing a hot meal for the homeless living in transition housing, and even without any shelter.
