Life at Bethlehem revolves around the many different groups that are active in our church community. Individuals choose how they want to participate. People decide the ways they want to contribute to the life of the church and community, as well as determine what they will receive in turn from this association. Groups from which to choose include:
- Bethlehem Lutheran Church Women (BLCW)
BLCW officially includes all women in Bethlehem. Small groups of women, called circles, meet monthly for study and fellowship. BLCW also supports regular annual activities.
- Men of Bethlehem (MOB)
The MOB meets periodically for fellowship, community service, and spiritual retreats.
- Samaritans
This group meets monthly as a support for senior citizens and organizes service projects.
- Music groups
Extensive music program includes opportunities - adult choirs, orchestra, strings and various other instrumentalists, handchimes, and children's choirs, etc.
- Singles group
This group meets for organized activities and fellowship with others from area churches.
- Garden group
Designs and maintains gardens on the church grounds.
- Prayer ring
Prayer requests are passed via a telephone ring for individual prayers and support for congregational members and relatives/friends.
- Confirmation class
Formal instruction for youth in preparation for confirmation and official membership.
- First Communion Class
Instruction for first communion.
- Sunday School
For all ages, infants, toddler, through youth and adult.
- Nursery
professionally staffed nursery available for worship services.
- "Kids of the Kingdom"
An optional alternative to the worship service for children ages 3-5.
- Youth Group (KICS - Kids In Christian Service)
Our youth group meets regularly for service projects, worship support, and social events.
- Book Groups
many different groups meet to support the interests and schedules of our readers
- Fellowship teams
Volunteers to assist in fellowship activities and events, such as after service coffee, regular events, etc.
- Vestry & committees
The Vestry is the official executive group for the congregation that convenes committees to conduct business and manage programs.
- Ministry groups (FACETS, Fish, Habitat)
