Lutheran Social Services - National Capital Area - LSS is a multi-service Metropolitan D.C. region-wide agency of the ELCA and the LCMS which provides a variety of social services that offer hope to, and support the well being of our children, individuals, families and communities most in need.

Stewardship of Life - Founded in 1994, is headquartered at the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Gettysburg, Gettysburg, Pa. The Institute's mission is to serve stewardship in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America through its seminaries.

Fellowship Square Foundation - Develops and manages affordable housing, services and fellowship for low and very low income elderly at five (5) Fellowship houses on four campuses in Virginia and Maryland.

The National Lutheran Home - A comprehensive nursing and continuing care facility for the elderly. The care of the majority of the nursing home residents is subsidized. The Home's main care facility and its associated independent living village are located on a 27.5 acre campus in Rockville, Maryland.

Lutheran Services in America - Lutheran Services in America (LSA) is an alliance of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, and their 280 human service organizations.

FISH - Provides transportation and other services for needy at scheduled times, sharing duties with other churches.

NOVACO - A coalition of No. Va congregations that provides tranisitional housing and various services to families coming out of abusive situations. BLC is a NOVACO member and also sponsors a family.

FACETS - Provides food, shelter, and other services for needy families. BLC participates along with other congregations.

Habitat-for-Humanity - Provides manpower to help builds homes for those that cannot afford them.
